Our Mission
Children's Meeting House Montessori School's mission is to foster the development of the whole child by implementing the philosophy, practices and curriculum of Dr. Maria Montessori. We strive to nurture a child's life long love of learning and honor the diversity of each individual. It is our desire to instill self-confidence, independence, self-discipline, respect and personal and social responsibility. We create partnerships with families for the benefit of each child, and work to cultivate a genuine sense of community.

Touring our school gives you the opportunity to observe children in the classroom, meet with the teachers and staff and discuss your child's individual needs. Simply call 683-4757 and schedule a time that is convenient for you (plan on about an hour). We look forward to meeting you!

Encouraged to make decisions from an early age, Montessori educated children are problem solvers who can make appropriate choices, manage their time and work well with others. They exchange ideas and discuss work freely. These positive communication skills build the foundation for negotiating new settings.

A Montessori program is based on self-direction, non- competitive activities that help a child develop a strong self- image, high levels of academic and social competence, and the confidence to face challenges with optimism.
